Boot Camp classes are large group workout classes focusing on the “unexpected” and “functional” aspects of exercise prescription. Boot Camp classes are VERY intense, last for 1 hour and 15 minutes, cost $15 per person and focus on muscular endurance, aerobic capacity and mental toughness. Boot Camp classes may require (but are not limited to) heavy lifting, extended periods of running, and carrying of objects i.e. tires, pack, logs. Camaraderie and “spirit de corps” are all highlighted within these classes and team work is a huge element of attendance.
Boot Camp classes require a minimum standard of fitness. Gloves, a water hydration system and a head lamp must be worn when attending a Boot Camp class.
